Details
Cost & Registration
Alumni Band Day activities are included in your annual Pitt Band Alumni Council dues of $35.00 which are payable upon online registration. This includes the game admission and tailgate. Dues and a complimentary cotton polo will be provided to first-year graduates (last 12 months) who register, free of charge. Registration will be open through Thursday, September 19. Attendance is not guaranteed for those who do not pre-register.
There will be a check-in table at the tailgate before the game. All registrants, including Colorguard and Golden Girls, must check in upon arrival.
Attire
The expected attire for the day is:
- a current Pitt Band Alumni polo in the Pitt Royal and Pitt Gold colors (first used in 2019),
- black pants or shorts without holes or tears (no “athleisure” wear), and
- dark-colored shoes.
These are expected to be the only Pitt Band Alumni apparel items that will be permitted on the field. In the event of anticipated adverse weather impacts, these “uniform” rules may be somewhat relaxed at PBAC's discretion, which will be communicated to registrants closer to the event date.
While not required, participants are also permitted to wear their own Pitt hat or ballcap in the current colors. You are also encouraged to wear underneath your “uniform” whatever other gear is comfortable and gets you into the Game Day spirit!
Instruments
Bring your instrument. Cases can stay on the truck and be picked up beginning in the third quarter.
We will also have limited instruments available to borrow on the day of the game. For anyone planning to borrow an instrument, PLEASE let us know on your registration form by Monday, September 16. We may not be able to honor requests received after this date as our supplies are limited and we need to know how many to load onto our truck. Note, however, that we are very short on mouthpieces and reeds, so please bring your own if at all possible.
